Mayra

Animal Care Attendant

Hi! My name is Mayra. I graduated from the Animal Care Program at Sheridan College in 2018. From there I worked as a pet food consultant helping clients find the best diet and holistic options to treat different ailments. I then joined a veterinary clinic as an ACA to explore the more conventional approach to treating patients. With that knowledge, I then joined the fantastic team here at Westbridge.

I would love to delve more into wildlife rehabilitation in the future and volunteer at an elephant orphanage/sanctuary in Africa as they are my favourite animal; it really would be a dream come true. Until then, you can find me on another adventure with my Golden Bernese mix puppy, Bilbo. He's lazy yet crazy and definitely not hobbit size and yet our fellowship wouldn't be complete without him.
