At Westbridge Veterinary Hospital we tailor vaccines to your cat’s lifestyle based on the AAFP (American Association of Feline Practitioners) recommendations. There are “core” vaccine, and “optional” vaccine recommendations.

When should kittens get their first vaccination?

Kitten vaccine schedules should be around the 8-week, 12-week, and 16-week mark.

How often does my kitten need to be vaccinated?

After the kitten series is administered, your cat will come back for their adult series one year later. At that time, we offer a 3-year Rabies vaccine and a 4-year FVRCP vaccine.

Does my kitten only need core vaccines?

If your cat goes outside, our Veterinarian will talk to you about also getting the Leukemia vaccine to help keep them protected.
